World Sepsis Day

13th September 2026

In an effort to enhance awareness of sepsis as a global health challenge, we are proud to organize the World Sepsis Day Commemoration as an integral part of the 17th Annual Meeting of ISICM. This initiative aims to educate both healthcare professionals and the broader community on the importance of early recognition, prevention, and effective management of sepsis.

Sepsis is a life-threatening medical condition resulting from a dysregulated host response to infection. Early identification and timely intervention are critical to improving survival outcomes.

The commemoration will feature a series of activities designed to strengthen understanding of the warning signs of sepsis, emphasize the urgency of prompt action, and highlight the shared responsibility of individuals and healthcare systems in prevention efforts.
